So I havent played all that much this week do to this being my last week of summer school as well as 4th of July. I did have a nice sweat session with Dwarrior today. Everything started out pretty good and then I had some tough spots occur. One thing I noticed about sweating for me is that it keeps me very level emotionally. I have almost zero tilt factor even though I am yet to get into a monster pot and lose during a sweat. Here are some of the interesting spots.
Hand1: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1240262 very small sample on villian and he is 66/38/1 my question is was there any value in my c-bet? How do you play pre and post flop here? Basically I felt AK was best preflop and I was hoping he would shove and I could call. Instead he calls I flop air and he is a short stack. WTF to I do now?
Hand 2:http://www.pokerhand.org/?1240278 villian is super nit running 10/7/2.3 his call preflop raise was 1. I dont know if I was influenced by Dwarrior sweating me on this hand or not. Is calling his 3 bet standard? Would betting this flop be so bad? Is this an easy fold on the turn or should I have bet folded?
Hand 3: Is this a standard fold? http://www.pokerhand.org/?1240288 villian was 13/8/2
That is all I got. I was going to play tonight but I think I will be taking the night off. If anyone will be around next week and wants to do some sweat sessions let me know. Next week I look to play 30hrs of solid grinder status poker. I cant wait for summer school to be done. All poker all the time, yeah!

For the record, I did not advise a call in hand 2 :)
Also, I think we were discussing something and in the middle of another hand when Hand 2 happened, I think the call was kinda automatic.
Hand 1 I would give up on it I think.
With calling station players I do not bet multiple streets with air. I would c-bet this too, after the call Im done with the hand.
Hand 2.
I think I would call (about 60%) and hope for a good flop. A bet out on the turn might make him think twice but I think you are behind here most of the time.
Hand 3.
As a beginner I might have called. Based on stats. Unless he never 3-bets except with nuts. You both have good stacks so you might get something out of it.
Hand 1: I like the Cbet and think the rest was played just fine.
Hand 2: Against a range of AA, KK, QQ, and AK you are at 50/50 on this flop. I don't like getting into 50/50 battles with nit players, they don't pay off when you hit. I like the 3 bet call, and against his stats check/fold is the right play.
Hand 3: I like to get into HU pots wtih other deep stacks, so I call here and see where I'm at on the flop. With his stats though, I don't see anything wrong with a fold PF.
hand 1: That's tough. I hate playing against short stacks. I think you played this fine. You have to cbet in my opinion. Lucky for you, he played very passively and you got to see his cards.
hand 2: I think calling the 3 bet is standard. I sometimes 4 bet but I wouldn't against this guy. Betting the flop doesn't accomplish much, but it might trigger a push from him.
hand 3: I don't know about this. I think AK is good enough for a call. I saw Dodgyken fold AK to a 3bet from the button during a sweat. He's a good player and seeing him do this made me think about it a little more. Look forward to reading the other comments.
Hand 1: If you were both full stacked, I would like your line more. He's so short that he's going nowhere with a made hand, IMO, so I would just check behind this one.
Hand 2: Against these preflop stats, I think a preflop fold is OK (depends on the sample size), assuming he hasn't 3-bet you before. The problem is that you're slightly ahead/way behind pre-flop, and out of position, unless you have reason to think he's doing this lightly. The other problem is whether or not he will pay you off post-flop if you are ahead.
Hand 3: I'm fine folding here with the stacks this deep. In position is a different story. I don't think I'm good enough to stay out of trouble postflop, out of position, and that influences my preflop decision.
hand 1 : check and be happy you saw his cards!
hand 2: find out where you are on the flop. Wouldn't he bet toppair?
hand 3: kinda tight but if you havent seen him get out of line then muck it.
