High...

on life! Wow, I bought her a ring, yeah thast right a ring. OK I didnt buy some super expensive engagement ring or anything but it was a way to tell the love of my life that she is just that. I know I have said it will never happen but you know what they say. Anyways life is fucking good! Poker is back on track due to my life gaining a sense of balance again. I have returned to meditation as well as shorter sessions at the tables. Today is Monday, a typical slow day at the tables, so I enjoyed the outdoors instead. Life is good!

Fresh start.

I cleaned my office out completely yesterday and it feels real nice to have a nice clean working environment. I am unsure if I told the world about my decision to hold off on Sonoma State and instead focus on beating poker. The simple fact is I love poker and everything it can provide for me and my family and I have little to no desire to return to school and obtain a degree which I have no real passion about. Therefore, though I did finally finish the JC and was excepted to Sonoma State for the fall semester I have decided to focus 100% on poker. I had a rough patch the last 2-3 months but it had alot to do with some bad habits which I picked back up and changes in my living environment. I am happy to say that my home environment is very stable now and I have shook the old habit and am feeling confident in my abiltiy to out think/ out play my opponents at the poker table. My plan is to work 30 hour work weeks M-F and enjoy my family in the evnings and on the weekends. Basically I am a working man just like everyone else except my job is playing a game I love. I always wanted to be an athlete, this is the next best thing.

3 Months

As you all know poker has been my job since last April and lately I have been struggling a bit. The reality is I have a family to support and a son whose future I want to be amazing. That said I am giving myself the next three months to prove that I have what it takes to make a living off poker. The alternative is basically joining a union and start working my way up. If that happens I am leaning towards becoming an electrician or sprinkler fitter. I f you have any thoughts on those please share.
