Congratulations!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!! I am truly happy for you bro! You are proof that no matter what anything is possible as long as you work hard enough at it. Anyways dont mean to be all sappy but again congrats.

As for me I didnt focus nearly enough on a goal for 2009 and basically scraped through at 100nl making enough to pay bills but save nearly nothing. 2010 will not be anywhere the same. I have been working on setting some clear cut goals and mapping out how I will achieve them.

Again I cant complain about the money I made or my life in general but I definitely will be working much harder next year. I wrapped up the year at a 3.5ptbb at 100nl over 300k hands. Also managed to nail back to back winning sessions to close out the yeat whicc feels pretty nice. Tonight I will partying with the fam and then cleaning the shit out of my office and house this weekend gearing up for a big year.

Biggest winner and loser of year are mandatory right?

Annoying as fuck

This month has been one of the most obnoxious of my poker career. I am up for the month and feel I am playing fairly well yet I have been put in every dirt nasty spot known to man. The biggest challenge I face as a poker player is myself. If I can find a way to harness my emotions and play solid poker 2010 could be a monster. At times I fail to realize that nothing is owed to me as a player except the opportunity to make better decisions than my opponents. The fact remains, impeccable note taking combined with constant range approximating will make anyone nearly unbeatable at the tables, as long as they process the information correctly and follow through by clicking the right button.

Attachment is my biggest leak. Just because I am dealt AA/KK/QQ doesn't mean I deserve to win a stack. All I am granted is the opportunity to make the correct decision when it is my turn to act.

5 tabling

Es no bueno. Again I type a blog to tell myself 4 is best. My win rate is high enough I just need to play more. I have again devised a schedule which allows for 6 sessions a day. Anyways my brain hurts and I am tired therefore this blog is going to be a short one. I will def recap 2009 and set some goals for 2010.

Merry X-mas

WOW!!! The games were fucking amazing just now. 11pm PST. I unfortunately have been drinking a small bit with the in laws. I couldn't stay away though. Santa was kind too. made back a nice chunk from my recent run nasty spell. I am going to emphasize decision making over results always but it feels good to catch some breaks vs donks.

Decisions

Is all we can control. Allowing results to have any impact on our emotions will lead to bad decision making. I know this is the truth but it can be quite discouraging at times when your good decisions lack reward. Anyhow December has been a bitch. Just another fucking roller coaster month. Going to try and bang out 10kish more hands from now till the end of the year and devise a plan for 2010. The bankroll nit in me is going to stay at 100nl headed into 2010. I got a nice piece of software for AP which allows me to get 6 tables tiled on my 24inch nice and quick. Finally I will embark on 6 tabling and look to play a solid 20/17 style and cash in on spewy ass regs and all the droolers.

I am obviously disappointed in my 2009 as I know I didnt give my best throughout and the results show. I believe I managed to make less than 08. My plan for 2010 is minimum double 2009 but shooting for quadruple. My hand volume will increase along with hours. As pathetic as I feel I didnt do half bad for averaging 80 hours a month. Plan to increase this by 50% to 120 a month.

Dodgy and I hate our last few hands of a session. Here is why. Dude is a TAG 21/18 3bets a good clip but may be flatting a wider range because of the drooler in the SB. I feel like I have to shove yet bottom set really sucks ass on this board. Thoughts?

Grinding through?

Just sat down to play one of my night sessions and just got shit on. Honestly I knew immediately I should quit put instead tryed to power through. I am here to say that if I ever get the feeling to quit a session I am going to from now on. Even just a 5 minute break will be enough. It sucks too because I nailed down three really solid sessions earlier today and want to keep the trend going. Nothing wanted to go my way and I played like a girl too. I have to remember not to try to overadjust when all the Lag dicks are out. Anyways I am kinda tilted and disappointed in myself as well. Just have to break and refocus. A game coming at you.

Dodgy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martin "Dodgyken" Coleman was at my house for the last week and it was a good time. I was fortunate enough to be able to take him to Monday night football as well as a Warriors game and lock him in as a life long fan of two of my local sports teams. Besides that we ate a ton of good food and drank an abundance of great beer. We managed 8 sessions as well where Martin sweated me at 200NL. I was hoping to just run like God and stay put at 200NL after he departed but unfortunately we ran normal and booked 5BI's which means I will continue my grind at 100NL. 200NL is no different really except a bit more aggro but nothing insane. As long as I stay sound in my thinking and play well I know I will be beating it consistently. All and all it was a great week and I was sad to see him go. Though I have decided that my goal for 2010 is to become a solid winner at 200NL and be in England visiting Martin in August.

I am working on a few other decisions which I must make that will lead me towards the life I want to live. My battle with alcohol and using it as an excuse to be a slacker is over. Will I never drink again? No way! Though I am going to cut it out Sun-Fri excluding special occasions. Playing a high volume of hands is more important than catching a buzz. Exercise is another important element to my success therefore I plan to create a sweet gym routine which I can fit in during my work day.

Anyhow hope everyone is enjoying their December. I will update again soon.

Green

I am back in the green and feeling pretty good after what all went down yesterday. Once finally getting hold of someone who could give me an answer as to why the bank closed my account he basically told me to fuck off. I believe that some way some how they discovered I was depositing money from a internet gambling site and chose to proceed by terminating my account. This is very alarming as well as discouraging. The only thing I can do from here is open a new account at another bank and disclose nothing to them about where my funds come from. I have heard that depositing checks via the ATM at one of Americas bigger banks is a good way to do it. I think I am going to go that route from now on.

Dodgy gets here tomorrow and I am pretty pumped for that. We are going to do some fun shit as well as talk a ton of poker. My roll is right where it should be for 200NL shots too. Been off on the hands as well as work ethic the past 2 days due to BS. Going to be getting my ass in gear after Dodgy bounces. Dont get me wrong I am going to nail some hands while he is here but not sure just how many.

I will leave you with a standard 50NL call down.

Life tilt

Nothing like going to your bank and depositing a check only to find out your account balance was zero when you deposited it yet you had 5 figures in it the day before. After some panic and concerns about hackers I have come to find my bank decided to just close my account without notifying me. Now they have no answers for why they closed it or where my fucking money is. Fun fucking times. Currently listening to obnoxios on hold music while they seek answers. This has definitely put a damper on my day and caused no poker to be played as of yet. Fortunately I have a 1 hour massage scheduled for 1 hour from now which should be quite nice. Hopefully I can get this shit sorted and stack some whales this evening. My suspicion is that they closed my account because of the checks I have been depositing from AP. I will keep yall posted.

Decision time

I have decided to stop posting whiny rants about how shit things are. I have also decided to buckle down and take full responsibility for my decisions on and off the table.

So in late September I got an Anthony Robbins book from the library and made this post . It just so happens that October was my best month of the year. Coincidence? Highly unlikely. Well today I got my ass to the book store and bought another on of his books and decide to get my shit straight.

Tonight I have decided to stay away from the tables and enjoy a family night instead. Tomorrow I have a Dr appointment and a massaged schedule as well but will get minimum two sessions during the day and plan on nailing 3 maybe 4 at night. Next week 200nl will be my new home as I continue my journey to 1000NL.

I will be making a post soon about where I am poker wise and where I will be in the future. Take care yall and remember you have the power to make any decision you want. Your decisions shape your life.

Weights

I might need to get back in the gym and start lifting. Lately I have been having mad rage while playing. I managed to break one of my favorite 99cent plastic cups from wally world this evening. I have been so calm under pressure until this latest run. I have been in every fucked spot imaginable and the dreaded over card hits like 99% lately. I have started just 3betting massive because people never fold. It is ridiculous the trash people peel with preflop IP. I want to fucking scream right now. My blood is boiling.

FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear 100NL regs,

you all suck so fucking bad it isnt even funny. Well I havent had a spell of AI cooler/run bad in what felt like a few months and it seems December has decided to be that month. It is bugging me a little I wont lie. Might take tomorrow off as I have to help my mom in the AM and could use a break.

This is an example of just how bad these guys are. Anyone ever getting away from this?
