Its a done deal

Thats right Nov is in the books. Didnt go as well as I would have liked but I only have myself to blame. Stoked for Dec and the future of my game as well. Today I managed 3 of 5 sessions as I am off to a Basketball game with my pops. My plan is to use the weekends to make up for any missed sessions do to fatigue or leisure. Got a vid review in and highly recommend it to all its by Grindcore on DC. Hope everyone had a good month and here is to a amazing Dec.

You call yourself a pro?

What a joke of a profesional poker player I have been for nearly the last year and a half. Seriously though it is time for a change. Blah blah blah, it isnt just talk this time. Beginning Monday I will spend no less than 1.5 hours studying poker away from the tables. Along with my 1.5 hours of study I will be playing 6.25 or more. No one who I know or know of got to 200NL or above by being lazy. Its time to become the hardest working mofo in poker.

I just cleaned my office and removed all my knick knacks in order to make it have a more professional feel. I am going to be hitting the gym for some cardio after I drop my boy off at school and then its study time. I will play 3 day time sessions between 11am and 4pm at which point I will grab my boy and have some family time. Then somewhere between 7pm and 8pm I will hit the tables again for two night sessions.

In there I plan to post on the CR forums as well.

Hopefully I can cap my night off by writing a blog post with 1 interesting hand.

Ahhhhhhhhhh

Just jumped on the tables for a nice morning session and the donks were everywhere only I was running like dirt. I honestly think the most frustrating thing in poker is playing against people who you know are where your profit comes from yet you just cant seem to win at showdown vs them no matter what. I did possibly overplay a huge combo draw deep but I mean shit when I get it in with 58% equity on the flop I cant complain. Its just terribly annoying to have a solid Monday and start today on such a sour note. Anyways I will be grinding a ton of hands today as tomorrow I leave for LA and wont be back till Saturday. Obviously if I drop a few more BI today I might have to skip play and spend some time studying.

Unfortunately in an attempt to play more hands because of lack of volume this month I have been 5&6 tabling. That must stop! 4 tables por vida!

The combo draw vs a mega drooler: This guy had been leading draws as well as air so I am sure he has hand when he XMR though not sure how strong. Given that should I call and see a turn? If so and we dont improve I excpect a pot sized bet as that was his standard if not an overbet though he seemed to overbet mainly as a bluff. My thinking was that I have insane equity vs his range and I want to realize it by 3betting the flop an amount will let me jam the turn with some FE if I miss.

My own worst enemy

Its hilarious how I rant on here about call station regs yet I too am the biggest station in the worst spots. Seriously check calling is so fucking dumb unless there is some read behind it. Today I made some terribad check calls that made me want to vomit. My month has been decent but no where near where it could or should be. Unfortunately my volume is has taken a hit as well do to life. My bankroll remains at a good place and 1/2 is still in the cross hairs but again I will not be in a rush. Peace of mind and supproting my fam is what matters most.

Anyhow nothing to insightful in this post just a minor rant. Going to a b-day party tonight and all day tomorrow too. Hopefully nail a ton of hands Sun-Tues and then I am off to LA for Thanksgiving. Enjoy life and poker yall.

Why isnt the boat moving?

Maybe because the anchor is down! Fuck me I have been such a fish this week and it is annoying. On top of that I am starting to see the bad side of coolers. Lost with 4444 to 7777 today which is so sick because it doesnt qualify for BBJ. Then I lose a 200BB coin flip. Basically I have found that I do amazing when I start my session off with a win. It doesnt matter if it is a 10bb pot or 100bb pot I just need that momentum starter. If it goes the other way my sessions seem to drag and I just bleed small pots everywhere. Just had to quit my latest session after losing the 200BB preflop AI. Cant win them all but we can make a good quit if needed. So basically I continue to tread fucking water and just stand still this month. Was looking for another big month to push me over the top and get me to 200nl. Month isnt over yet so I will just have to keep plugging.

4tables only!!!!

Exploiting regs

Got it today and read it through in 30min. Will be doing the hand examples after I write this up. It is the nuts for me because of the fact that it makes me think in terms of ranges which is my hugest leak. I am stoked for the HH quizzes as well. I have a funny feeling this book is going to be very helpful as I dabble in 200NL.

On a sour note just as I decide to play deep 100% gAyP up and changes their fucking tables. So tilting,. just when they were starting to get it they fuck it all up. Thing is I actually think I have a superior edge on almost any 100BB stack I sit with so that is nice.

A few hands for the visual readers.

Fist pump call? Villain displays solid 25/20 stats with a 5%3B and a 3% sqz. I assume his flatting range can be wider here than usual given the fish on the btn plus BB is a drooler. For him to XC flop I assign 78s/J8s/J9s/98s/T9s/QJ/55/99/Tx X=J+ basically I dont see KJ here often imo and TT sqz's a fair bit so I discount that as well. He XC 100 combos of hands the question them becomes of those combos what % does he Xjam. I DB 3way so I should look super strong. I know this is alot of BS for what looks like a snap call but I really want to get back to analyzing ranges.

Annoyed

Just cant seem to get off the ground this week. Nothing is going my way. That and I have been playing like shit. I did make a purchase which I hope will get my ass studying a bit more. I bought that Eworkbook by Slowhabit. I am furious though because you dont get the book immediately when purchased, wtf! I am sitting here waiting for them to send it to me. Really?

Anyways yesterday sucked ass and today has been more of the same. Just treading water and playing like a Tagfish imo. I never make moves but when I do my timing is terrible. I decided to butcher a few hands as well. Thought always welcomed.

Original raiser is 20/15 guy who backed ship has 4bet jammed JJ in a spot where he opened and I 3bet BTN/BB. He has been blowing up in chat vs me as well as I have simply been owning his soul.

Anyone?

Villain is meh 21/15/4 3B 8% basically 3bets same % vs opens from any position. My image is quite clean up to this point as well though I iamgine all AP/UB regs think I am a spaz in 3bet pots. He lighting calls my 4bet which seems to make his range JJ/QQ/AQ. XC flop lead turn is so fucking wack. Any sense in calling or folding? I mean basically I never think this is a bluff and our line looks strong as fuck.

For fucks sake

One day I will listen to myself. On the turn I think ok easy bet for value fold given villain had just check folded TP on T9x9 which means he clearly has like zero bluffs in his turn check raise range. Instead I opt to call turn fold river. Well then he goes and overbet jams. In all honesty his line adds up to a monster not a bluff though I decided otherwise. It was kinda gross given I had somewhat been pounding on this guy but for fucks sake can I stop burning money already.
