June Recap

Didt quite reach my goal but I tryed my best and that is all I can ask. I had some great days and I had some bad ones too. I mean everyday I am here on this planet is great but I am speaking of my poker playing. My peak was up 1235 on the month and from there in the last two days I dropped down to 645 ending it with a huge comeback tonight. It was my best session yet winning 377 in 3 hours time to end the month up 1009 from playing. With the addition of bonus 550 and approximately 300 in rakeback I didnt do to bad. The best thing is I know I wasnt always playing my best and there is so much room for improvement it is disturbing.

July, this will be my best month as I look to improve on my June results. Rather then set a hand goal I have decided to instead strive for 25+ hours a week. I believe I only reached 25 hours for one week of June so I should get plenty of hands in if I play my desired amount of time. Also, with the CardRunners Low-limit Grind Crew(CRLLGC) in efect this month things should really be taking off. I plan to post two hands minimum on the days I play and comment on each member of my crews blogs. I have also decided that I am more focused when I keep my eyes on one monitor only so until absolute gets resizable tables or I move to another site I will be 4 tabling only. I think I will be playing 1/2 50NL and 1/2 100NL until I am comfortable moving up completely.

My pregame routine and a not so abstract thought.

Here is the list of 10 things to think about before I play in no particular order.
1. ONLY PLAY WHEN WELL RESTED AND ABLE TO PERFORM AT YOUR BEST.
2. REMEMBER SKLANSKY’S SKILS FOR SUCCESS
-MANIPULATING THE POT SIZE
-ADJUSTING CORRECTLY TO STACK SIZES
-WINNING THE BATTLE OF MISTAKES
-READING HANDS
-MANIPULATING OPPONENTS INTO PLAYING BADLY
3.DON’T BE HUD DEPENDANT; RESPECT YOUR OPPONENTS
4. DON’T BE RESULT ORIENTED
5. TRUST YOURSELF AND YOUR INSTINCTS, THEY ARE RIGHT
6. HAVE ODD SHEET INFRONT OF YOU
7. ABC POKER IS ESSENTIAL PICK YOUR SPOTS CAREFULLY
8. USE GOOD TABLE SELECTION
9. POSITION, POSITION, POSITION!
10. NO WHEN TO QUIT.

I will be reading over this eveytime now before I begin a session as well as keeping this open to reread through all my sessions. We can tell ourselves over and over to do something but we still have a tendency to return to our old ways. Hopefully, this will keep me sinc and I will continue growing and developing into a dominant force to be reckoned with at the poker table. I am not sure just yet but am flirting with the idea of moving up but only buying for 100BB an playing 100NL. It seems he fish have moved up due to a badbeat jackpot that just got put into effect at Absolute and it doesnt start till 100NL so alot of fish have jumped up to have their shot at it. Will see.

How abut an abstract thought? I cant remember where I read it but I remeber reading about the power of thoughts and our energy which they release. An example they sed was when you are looking at someone and they can feel it. You know what I mean too. You are checking out someone of the opposite sex appreciating their beauty and all the sudden they turn and look at you. Or you feel someone looking at you and turn and look and sure enough they are. This is the most vivd example of it and we should know that every thought we have in some way releses energy into the world wether good or bad is up to you. Are you a positive thinker enjoying all the amazing things in your life and giving thanks or are you negative? Like The Secret says everything you have right now and where you are right now in life you chose. Do you like the choices you have made? If so, sweet deal keep doing what your doing. If not choose to change.

Quick BR update $2963 with 235 dollars of reload bonus pending. Just got another 200 today, which makes 550 for the month. not to shabby. One last quick thought, as my results continue to improve and I become less dependant on rakeback as a part of my monthly slary I plan on opening an IRA and depositing my rakeback into it every month for my retirment.

Brain fart

That is what I had yesterday when I decided to play poker off of my game. I had only gotten 6 hours a sleep th night before and was feeling super tired but rather then taking a nap or just not playing I convinced myself to, big mistake. When I play not fully rested I become the old player I used to be. making quick decsion ased on nothing. Not even ignoring my instincts but rather my instincts are completely not there. Also my aggresive play becomes passive, calling raises and check calling down with PP. Due to this, I have decided to create a short of checklist that I must abide to prior to playing. I havent written it yet but I will post it when I do. As poor as I played, and I know my loss yesterday is due to my bad play, I had two major coolers that if they had gone the other way I break even. AA vs KK I get it all in preflop and flop comes K22. LOL, that was just sick. Then here is the hand that I need some help from my crew on. Over 30 hands villian is 40/6.7/0.6 http://www.pokerhand.org/?1218886 another problem I have when I play off my game s I see 35 or higher on their VPIP and I just think donk and try and move them off every hand. This is a major spew of my chips. Thinking back over this hand I really dont see how I get away from it because I see him shoving a 8 here, the real question is should I fold preflop? I almost mucked it until I saw I was getting 5-1 on my money.

So the hair has been cut. I am now rocking a pretty savage mohawk with a tail. Words cant due it proper justice. I will write more later toady.

I am not rude I am reall-Noel

Changes

My blog is going to be a little more poker oriented in July. You may have noticed the new list. This is a month long experiment a group of poker players from a training site I subscribe to are undertaking. It consists of playing poker and then posting the hands that challenged you each day and discussing them with one another in an attempt to think more in depth about how we play the game and why we make certain decisions. All the greats in poker have had a core group that they have developed their skills with and hopefully this will become my core unit and together we will become the next poker greats. In no way do I personally want publicity or fame but to be noticed by the poker community as someone who has established himself as a force would be nice. Therefore my blog will contain 2 if not 3 hand histories for my crew to read and comment on as well as any of my faithful readers to observe too.

On another note I will be changing my hair. Tomorrow at 10am I will be getting my first haircut of 07. Its insane how long I have gone without one. Ah, the luxuries of being your own boss.

Now one of my many abstract thoughts. I have not done nor do I plan on doing any research on this topic but I was wondering why clocks and a way of keeping track of time was created? I know it goes way way back but in this day and age I am doubtful time is seen in the same light as when it was being developed. Why 60 minutes in an hour? Why not 300? In reality I started thinking that time has become a way to control us. Dwell on that!

I almost forgot, yesterday I made my 1st cash withdrawal using my epassporte card. $600 cash from my poker BR is now in my bank account. After this withdrawal and my play yesterday my BR rests at $3220 with 75 pending bonus dollars. Also on my path towards my goal I have slowed way down and currently have played a total of 24655 hands. It looks like I will fall short but it ain't over yet.

I got an A!

Thats right, studying pays. I decided to do nothing but study all day yesterday and it payed off. I am stoked. Wasnt going to play cards last night as I was pretty tired but after watching some poker videos and surfing the forums I was awake and ready and had a nice little 2 hr session to start the week off right up $150 or so. Just got done with a session today played 3 hrs and made like $5 woohooo! I just made some plain terrible decisions and bluffes off $75 on one hand. Its funny because I want to move up yet my numbers at the lower stake for this month are the best to date. I am playing 2 tables of each and sometimes adding a fifth of the lower. I feel this is the best way for me to slowly move up without to much risk. Also I think I am going to play a litle tighter at the higher stakes as it seems there are a lot more aggressive morons who are willing to pay you off and there really is no need or way to push them off a hand. So after writing my post yesterday I get the news that I have a game to go to. I bought two six packs for the Giants this year. At the time I was stoked on sports, maybe all the games I have gone to is one of the reasons for the sour tatste in my mouth. Sorry I know this is a very boring blog but I am tired. Yall be good now OK.

Whats the deal with professional sports?

To be quite honest I have lost my interest in professional sports in a major way. Don't get me wrong I enjoy going to a ball game and will always love my NY Yankees but something is different now. I see professional sports as what they are. A gigantic ripoff of the American people and a sad way to take our minds off of more important things. I have fallen victim to this trap for too long. I do everything in my power to spend the least bit of money I can at the ballpark. I stick to reading the box score the next day as much as possible. I wont ever quit watching all together and believe me nothing will replace tailgating before a game or BBQing and watching a game, but there is some love lost. I say stop paying athletes so dam much and start paying are educators that much more. We all complain about high gas prices among other things yet we are more then willing to stroll up to a beer vendor and pay the price we normally pay for a six pack for one beer. WTF? The only true positive to be taken from the game is that these professionals are truly living the dream, they are working the job they want and desire. We all should take this attitude.

Brief

It has been a long weekend and I have a ton of studying to do for my big test tomorrow. I had a great weekend though. Looks like the Yankees got wooped by the Giants. I think this is the year I have been waiting for. Kind of like the 49ers in a sense. We are lousy. All are off season moves stunk and it shows. Hopefully we miss the playoffs completely and come back next year with avengence. Havent played much poker. Got in 2 2hr sessions yesterday. 1st session was great and the 2nd not so great. I made some bad decisions in my 2nd session and had one lousy suck out to lose a 100 dollar pot. After starting the week on a down swing I ended in the green. I have an insane amount of hands left to reach my goal of 40K. BR$ 3485, I did pick up another $150 in bonus cash which is nice. It will be slowly getting released into my account over the week as I play. That makes $350 this month just from bonuses, not bad.

Its a great life.

This is kind of inside joke. My mom always has crazy ending to her voice mail like, "Walk in peace." Just bizarre yet powerful messages and I called my brothers house the other day and his wife concluded the answering message by saying, "Make it a great day." I was like WTF? She is becoming my mom. Sorry Kamahl, LOL. Anywas I said you know what you should change it to, " It is a great day." Much more powerful, right? So hence the heading for my blog today, except I took it one step further.

As far as poker goes I have flirted with the idea of moving up to the next limit which is a 200 max buy in instead of the 100 max I have been playing. Actually I have played like 2000 hands at that limit this month with a very small rofit to show for it. After speaking with a poker friend of mine last night though I think I am going to make the transition a little slower then I planned and just play 2 tables max of the $200 buy in and play 3 of the smaller $100 buy in. I know I am capable of beating either yet no poker player is immune to a bad run of cards. One of the keys to fighting off bad runs of cards though is maintaining a soid BR and not jumping up to quick. If you risk large chunks of your BR with bad results you can go busto quick. Plus when I wrote my goals for this month I clearly stated I would wait to bump. Actually I am going to go read my goals again and I stick to what I wrote. Looks like I will be 5 tabling the 100 game which is called 50NL. The 50 is 100 times what the big blind is.

Anyways I have so much to do today and this weekend so I better go. Hope you all are well and for all you Giants fans, look out the Bronx Bombers are in town.

BR$3353 same as yesterday, havent played yet today.

Kids R-O-C-K ROCK!!!

So I had a strange day yesterday after thinking about me and was feeling a little down. Nothing to major and then I played poker. Bad fucking choice. I wasnt palying bad but I was just thinking bad thoughts which doesnt lead to good things. I ended up making some horrible choices, actually doing the exact opposite of what my little voice said. Twice I found myself with all my chips in the middle when I knew I was behind before I got them in. This is my one major leak that I am in the process of plugging. Funny thing is I plugged that leak last night. So there I was down about 250 when I close all the tables and decide to take a break. I read some of an awesome poker book as well as a little bit on medition and then as I was headed out to go play ball at the gym my little voice said you should go play more cards. I did and I got my money back plus a little more. I concluded the night with some reading from a little gem that everyone is talking about The Secret. The concepts in this book seem so obvious and when you llok around at where you are and really think about what they are saying it is true. The basic concept is your life is what you make it. What you think about and are constantly talking about will come to. I can give so many examples of this it is crazy but take my car for instance. I always use to see them on the road and I always thought how that would be my next car or at least I wouldnt mind owning one. Seriously, I thought man that Acura Integra is bad. When my las car took a dump I wasnt gung ho Integra yet I stumbled upon one for a good price and after a few breakdowns and repairs it has been my most reliable vehicle to date. Then there is this poker gig. I have been playing since I was 21 and the competitive person I am I have alwayts said why not me? Why cant I be better then these other guys? People are playing this game for a living why cant I? Am I there yet? Kinda, I mean shit I aint working. Results have been so so but that is because of my thinking. The way have spoke of it and thought about it has not been with complete belief behind it. There have been times when I have been discouraged too. Watching your savings shrivel isnt fun either. I look forward to watching my bank account grow as I today declare this my job. I am a professional poker player.

Your probably asking yourself WTF? I know, kids? I spent today surrounded with their amazing energy. Their beatiful untainted always exploring minds. My niece is so amazing you can just see it in her eyes, that kid is special. Marcello, my little man. I love him to death and cant get enough it has been amazing year watching him develop. They are what this whole dam thing is about. (70's stoner movie guy passing a joint) "The kids man the kids."

Lastly the BR$ 3353, thanks to some bonus money even though I am in the red this week still I have made money.

Reflecting

So after my blog yesterday I begna reflecting on the way I think and respond to what occurs around me. I am guilty of a constant on slaught of negative thinking. It is amazing! Not like I am depressed and moping around dwelling on my hardships or anything like that just small negative thoughts. Questioning my ability to win at poker when I make bad decisions or tough spots occur. Looking at myself in the mirror and thinking negative thoughts about the body I see. Then there are the thoughts I think about the people I pass by on the street. I vow to try and do away with these thoughts and smile at those I see. To think positively about the person I am and want to be. "Impossible is nothing." This is a true statement and I know it. I will accomplish the possible because nothing is impossible. As you can imagine this week has been tough so far combined with some bad fortune I havent been playing at the top of my game either and this combination has resulted in a minor down swing. BR$3178 Also I am only half way towards my goal of 40K hands but I have been pumping them out this week and wont allow myself to fall short.

School is going well and I have started my second course, an online excel class. Busy, busy, busy. My final thought of today is: Life?

Impossible is nothing

Powerful thought, anything we think can and will happen. Every thought is sacred. So often we think negative thoughts throughout the day without any true thought as to the impact they have. Could it be that every thing we think as an impact on the world around us, no matter how minuscule that is if this is true wouldn't you monitor those negative thoughts some more. I am not innocent, with a brain that never stops, I think many negative things. This is something I wish to change. Everyone of has the same power and energy as the next. It is matter of tapping into that part of you and releasing those negative beliefs and thoughts that keep us at a lower level. Higher consciousness is real, and amazing too. Here is a simple exercise I am going to start and you might want to as well. Find 5 maybe 10 minutes in the day to simply sit in a quiet place and just shut down completely. Think of nothing and breath deeply. The strange thing is when you 1st attempt this your mind will be everywhere. You will see just how bad our minds want to keep working and thinking about so many random things. Shut it off! Become in tune with the energy around you. This is something I have done in the past, yet I stopped. Today I will begin again.

On a poker note I am working towards my goal. Played 2300 hands yesterday and plan on playing as many if not more today. The results from yesterday werent the best but was making some bad choices and lost a few coin flips. Today will be better. BR$ 3266

Happy Dad day to all seed spreaders.

Anyways I apologize for the obsenity. Wanted to write a quick blog on this bust day. I played some more last night and ended up improving upon my best week ever by 230 some odd dollars I believe. I am a little behind on both my poker goal and school. Tonight my main focus will be school as I start my second class tomorrow. Poker will not take a back seat thought. I plan o playing 2000+ hands a day this week. For now I must go and eat sushi with the man responsible for half of who I am, my dad. Again happy Dad day to all.

I do not know...

where to start today. What shall I write about? How about more poker. Things have started to go well for me as I have begun to know when to play and when to take a break. I actually had my best week so far on my journey as a pro poker player. +$523 and I still might play more tonight. Not bad? Anyways I am learning and growing while trying to stick with reaching my goal. I am a little off pace but I can do it. BR$ 3072

I am going to the gym now, it hasn been that productive but I do feel better when I go. It is crazy how the whole eating right and not drinking concept is to grasp. I just love food and there is nothing like BBQ and sipping a cold one on a hot summer day. Funny I think I forgot to mention my test score 84 which isnt horrible. I could have done better yet I felt I might have done worse. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Speed

We all or at least a vast majority love it. In such a hurry trying to get to our destinations. Have you ever slowed down and thought where am I really headed in such a dam hurry? Its funny when you do. Anyways I bring this up because my computer had been super slow as of late and it was making for a real tuff time playing poker while running two other programs as well. Today I spen 1/2 the day getting my laptop retooled so that I wont encounter such problems again. And now I am back on the information super highway moving at mock speed.

This does make me think though, when I was younger I was always in such a hurry to be older and here I am. What now? Do I wish I could be a kid again? Nope. I am down with what I have. I have a great girlfriend with an awesome son. I have some great friends who will always be there in times of need. A crazy yet kickass family who loves and supports me on most every decision I make. A nice quiet 1 bedroom apartment. Plus the knowlegdge to know that I am capable to do anything I want, all I have to do is put my warped mind to it. Sometimes I think we all need to just slow down and take a look at what it is we have and what it is we want and desire. I am not perfect I want a lot but you know what I am pretty fricking content with what I have. Here are two hands I wanted to go the other way: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1178821 ,

"Determination,...

an unswerving will, is actually the continous, concious directing of attention and awareness toward a given end for a given purpose. And this is accomplished by continously renewing the decisions or choices made to reach the given end, in spite of apparent obstacles and difficulties. A person with such a will, that is, such an ability to keep renewing a decision, does not get discouraged by mistakes and failures. If one method used to reach his goal does not work after repeated tries, he tries another, and then another, until he finds one that does work, even if it means he has to change himself. A person with a so-called "weak will" is simply someone who uses the same concious will power that everyone has to change his mind about continuing toward a goal. In other words, he just makes a different decsion not to continue, while the first person makes a decision to continue." This is from a Hawaiin book one of their belief systems and I feel a very powerful statement. Dont ever give up, you must continue to believe in what it is you want and keep pressing on no matter what hgets in the way.

Coming together...

the poker game that is. When I first started playing after watching some training videos in early March I was killing it and after 2 months and an adjustment or two I was still winning but my results were not as great and the swings were huge. What is my problem I thought? Of course a lot of things were wrong but mainly I was playing to conservative and it was time to open up again. Also I needed to figure out soem things mathematically in order to increase my edge and understand when and why to bet and how much. That all said I am still working on these fine points and many others as I will never stop improving my game.

Now the real world AKA not poker. Had the 1st test yesterday i am feeling kinda shaky, results will be posted tomorrow. I swear these mutliple choice test now a days (is this one word?). It is like they are all about tricking you. WTF? By the way that means what the fuck. Last summer I loved t my anthro teacher gave us the multiple choice test to take home and do. Then we came to class and she gave us the answers. Then we had to take the test in the classroom having fully studied it. The best way to teach? Probably not but fuck all the tricky strangley worded question that I have been encountering lately. Isnt the point to demonstrate that i understand the concepts and ideas and know how to apply them? Also can the test resemble the material we have seen? Its like here is the study material and by the way the test looks nothing like this. Ok my rant is done. Look for the grade tomorrow or Thursday as I will be at the ball game and then playing cards tomorrow, so I might not blog till the evening.

Phil Hellmuth won is 11th bracelet yesterday. Just insane. The guys an ass but he is one skilled poker player.

Now two hands from last night and today.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1169014 I like this hand because I had played a bluff the exact same way the hand before and by doing the exact same thing with a monster I figured to get payed. Cant believe he didnt play back at me on the turn.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1169018 example of me opening up my game. Granted I had two kings but lately I was slowing way down when Check raised fearing the worst. Not anymore, and he mucks.

BR $2588 and I have $200 in bonus pending, this is basically free money. When I deposit money Absolute credits my bonus account 200 and then after a certain number of hands they release 10 dollars at a time until the 200 has all been released. This is there way of getting people who have gone bust to put more money on the site but players like me can take advantage of these bonuses too and reap the reward.

Behind

On everything, WTF? Anyways just wanted to post real fast so all my faithful readers have something new to read. Didnt play last night as I felt off after the bad luck in the tourney and the long night on Saturday. Did watch Rounders which is an awesome movie that anyone who doesnt really understand poker should take a look at as it is quite insightful and spot on. My goal will be reached as tonight I plan to play a monster session after I get done with my test and I will be playing no less then an average of 1600 hands a day. No change on bank roll today and sorry but no fun hand links either. Quick thought. If you could live in a shack on a huge piece of land and have happiness and abundance of what is necessary to get by without having to work for a boss or live in a huge Mansion with no yard and have all the toys and gadgets you want but have to work a 40 hour work week and only have a month off a year which do you choose? Shack living is for me, LOL! I may be the next unabomber, and no not the poker playing one.

meh...

This is how I feel. Stupid me went out and got my drank on last night and I am paying the price. Unfortuanetly I had to be up by 12PM today to play these free WSOP(world series of poker) satellites. Basically they are wonner take and all and you get $2000 travel money and you are entered into a $1000 torunamnet and a $2000. It was down to 4 players out of 187 and I got all my chips in the middle with two jacks. I made three jacks on the turn and a sick 4 outer hit on the river to make my opponent a straight and I was done. Sick!!! Just sick!!! The guy who won that hand went on to win too. So I woke up instead of sleeping off my hangover to get busted in 4th after two and a half fucking hours. Oh well thats the game I love and play. As for yesterday I got in the green for the month but didnt log as many hands as I would have liked. I have 31493 hands to go to reach 40K shouldnt be to hard. When I dont play though it isnt because I dont want to its that I dont feel I will be performing at 100%. This is good discipline and will pay off in the long run. Anyways here is a sweet hand from last night. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1163950 no luck needed when you know what your opponent has. I raised with A10 and get a call not the greatest flop for my hand but not bad. When my opponent calls here I have to figure him for a Q or a J and then when the J hits on the turn it is less likely that he has one. I decide to check behind as I felt my hand was best at the time but rather then have him shove and have to decide then I took a free card to see what the river would bring. The river blanked and he shoved which screemed "I missed my draw." This is a classic donky bluff I called and his chips were mine. Might play some tonight but my main focus is studying or my first test which is tomorrow night. I have faired well on my professors tests so I am not to worried.

Behind schedule

Well my goal is to make 3000 this month and play 40000 hands. So far I am way behind. But today and tomorrow I hope to get caught up. Yesterday I didnt get around to playing till late due to sleeping in and because I went to the ball game. Also I went to the gym and did some school work. Today I have been doing school work and I spent some time with Marcello. I wanted to check in before I put in a nice 4-5hr session. While I was hanging with Mar who is not quite 2 it dawned on me today. When we are young are life is all about fun and excitment, and experiencing new things. At what point is it that we lose the way of living? Why does it seem the majority of the adult society gets wrapped up in their day to day routine and lose focus of why we were put here to begin. To learn, grow and have fun doing it. I know we all have a bad day and get down on life but really it is pretty fucking sweet if you ask me. On those days when things seem horrible I say close your eyes and think of that 4 year old kid you were and what life was all about then and realize it is still the same just with a few more responsibilities thrown in the mix.

Good: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1160382 this is improvement. Before I would probably fold this hand either before or on the flop but not this time. I know my opponent is aggressive and probably bets any flop here. The turn gives me two pair and it is checked to me and I probably am best but I decide to check in order to control pot size and avoid having to make a tough decision against a check raise. When the river blanks and it is checked to me again I know I am best now it is a matter of how much to bet so a K will call me. I decided on 12.50 as it looks like a steal bet and I figured to get called. It worked.

Baby vomit

FUN FUN FUN!!! Yup I got to clean up vomit today well not exactly but I did get some on me. I know I am writing earlier then I said but I kinda have a full day tomorrow so I thought I would write now. That is right Veronicas son Marcello decided to vomit tonight. Crazy thing is this is probably like the 10-20th time I have seen him puke. The 1st time was about a year ago on a fun car ride to South Lake Tahoe, ah the memories. Anyways cant quite explain it but something about him having too much milk combined with being congested and the result is puking. Funny thing is he pukes and starts crying and 2 minutes later he is splashing around in the bath like nothing ever happened. I love that little man more then I can explain.

As for poker here it is as promised. Good: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1153432 , this is just a fine example of the idiots out there giving away money. No way no how does he have the best hand at the river yet he decides to put me all in for almost 3 times the size of the pot. The only way I would call his river bet in this spot is at the best for him if I tie most times thought I am showing hima better hand and his play was just horrible. Thanks for the 100 bucks chump. Only played for 1/2hr today, felt I needed a small break to refresh my thinking and put some things together. From now on my bankroll will be refered to as BR.

BR $2079 I am down about 100 for the month which is way off pace to meet my goal but I have about 8000 hands under my belt. I feel a huge upswing coming. Look out idiots I am coming for your chips.

I got it!

What you ask? I got what it takes to make it. I see every move every angle I understand whats happening and I know when I am in trouble and then I ignore what I know and give my money away. You know that old saying give a man a fish etc... What if that man you teach just doesnt put what you taught him to use? Or he wants to but he always fishes at the wrong place at the wrong time. He fucking starves, thats right. I am tired of starving. There is a lot of talk about how the shuffle online isnt truly random and the game is rigged and all that but I am not a believer. Sometimes though you start wondering when time get hard and you ignore your instincts and what you know. I am tired of writing about ups and downs and I have devised a new blog agenda. I will be giving you two highlight hands a day and a running tally on my online bank roll. In the future I will most likely be posting two monster winning hands but today we will start out with one good and one bad.

The good: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1151805 this hand was a monster. I actually have quite a bit of table time against this opponent and was quite shocked when he shoved all his chips in. I couldnt believe that he would show me 6-8 for a bigger straight and I had to call here as I figured he was most likely to either show a 6 or be behind with three of a kind. This is when things are perfect.

The bad: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1151810 , funny thing is I keep beating myself up about this hand but I dont know that there is any other way this hand could have went. With the flop the way it is and the preflop action it s obvious we both have big cards unless he raised with 88-77 or 66 and just plain outflopped me. My minraise on the flop is the one thing that pisses me off. In this spot I need to raise a lot larger and force him to a tough decision with QQ. Instead I minraise and off peels a two outer. There are two cards left for him to beat me with in this spot I am an 88% favorite. Unfortunately on this day that 12% underdogg gets lucky.

And the bank roll is? btbtbtbtbbtbtbtbtbtbtbtbtbtbttbt<--Thats a drum roll.

Away from poker I cant complain, everything is going great. School hasnt been to bad but we shall see when the test taking begins. I am starting to enjoy redwine a lot. I got a new credit card with a nice limit that wont earn any interest till 5/8, one year of free spending. I think I am going to use this for all my grocery shopping and monthly bills, no major shopping sprees just yet.

Good day to you all I am out!

I dont care...

what the title is today. Look I missed a day I know but that is because I want to start writing in the day time and update you on the day that has passed. Yesterday was a good day at the tables and would have been huge if it wasnt for three really bad played hands.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1149049 , http://www.pokerhand.org/?1149186 , http://www.pokerhand.org/?1149189 Definately some tough spots and I actually went nuts with the two eights because it was directly after the two kings. The fucked thing is I knew before these hands played out that I was beat and should have folded all 3 of these hands before the flop which would have only cost me like 20 bucks instead of 150. That is how it goes sometimes and all I can do is learn from my mistakes. Hey I still ended ahead for the day about 150 so not bad. As for my goal I set I am trying to remain on pace and am doing a so so job I haved played 5225 hands and won a whopping total of 72 dollars. I am playing 5 tables now because I feel one table on the laptop is doable and whenever one of the tables falls apart as they often do I can always keep four going. I am headed out to lunch now but I will write more later. See yah thanks for reading.

Grinding!

Today was the most hours ever I have played I thin on the net. 8 total. Made -20 but the experience I gained is uncomprable. If a few coin flips go the other way and I make a few better decisions I win but hey that why there is 5 community cards. Had a fellow poker player sweat me(thanks Sirneb) today and it was a huge help. He saw things I am doing that I didnt and I think I found a nice leak in my game that I will be plugging. This alone will turn my loses into wins. Also even though I played forever it didnt even feel like it and isnt that the way it is when you are enjoying what you are doing? It feels good to be young and having fun doing what I want to do. The 4 tables only is a lot easier to handle and is definately going to pay dividends and they will be cumulative, LOL. Little business jargon for my fellow business majors.

So I have been reading this crazy book called The Intention Experiement and it is all about the power of our thought and talks all about healers. What are they called? Remote healers. I dont know. They basically pray for you to get better. It is nuts and is some real interesting stuff. Just scratching the surface on it so far but it looks to be an intriguing read. I believe the Author also wrote The Field which is the book that movie What the bleep is based on. Some good stuff, when I am done you can read it A-train.

Anyone seen Shooter with Marky Mark? Curious to know how it is. And if you are loooking for some good tunes I just found this new band Lucero. They are old new but they kick ass. It is called Alt Country kinda sounds like Bruce Springsteen John Mellencamp. They have a Myspace page here is a link. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=10598738 That is all.

Revized my strategy.

After taking a nasty lick at the tables today I have decided to go back on what I stated in previous posts and stick to 4 tables only. I was doing decnt with 4 on my small laptop but felt the overlap was hurting me so I purchased my new monitor. Then I felt hey why not play 4 on the monitor and 2 on the laptop. Great right? Wrong! Having to watch to screens and have the mouse jumping all over is no fucking bueno. It isnt the number of tables it is the scfreen space and maneuvering that is affecting me. So for the rest of June I am sticking to 4 tables which will mean I will have to play slightly longer hours to achieve my goal but I dont mind.

Here was one of my favorite hands from today. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1142498 This is one of those spots where it is almost impossible to not get all your chips in the middle, plus this guy was a total maniac so I had no respect for his play. Just sick! This was about how my whole day went.

Another problem I have has been making a bad bluff or rather sticking with bad bluffs. It isnt bad that I bluff but I need to know when to give them up. Anyways after a tough beat or a stupid bluff I lose focus. I dont tilt but I just stop performing at the top of my game. This is something I plan on spotting and either quitting the session completely or taking a small break to regroup.

Oh my real life, almost forgot. Cheated on the drinks today, couldnt help it man pizza and beer and Basketball go so good together. How bout them Cavs. Hope they can take down San Antonio. Spent the second part of today with my lovely girlfriend and quite possibly the raddest kid ever. Life is good. Online school has been pretty cake so far. Just reading and doing homework. The tests and the group projects is where the points are earned. Well till next time I am OUT!

Hello June.

Well I had a full day and tried to clear my head and regroup after the ass kicking I took yesterday. Woke up and did some school work then watched an instructional video on poker trying to regain my confidence. Then it was off to the gym. I had a late jump on the tables today and didnt get rolling till five but they were nice and juicy. Unfortunately I am way behind my goal already and need to catch up fast. I six tabled for 2 hrs and only logged about 700 hands which is nothing. Ended plus 134 so that was nice. Anywas I have a long way to go if I plan on achieving my goal. I believ I can and a key is to keep a level head and always play my A game. No more donking off my chips. I think a key is always trying to figure out what my opponent has and not getting blinded by my holdings. I am way tired sorry this is so bland next time I will try to ad some spice.

Going out with a BANG!

Yup ended the month with a nice negative 232 day. Fucking cards just would not pan out. It is tough sometimes but I still cant get enough played almost 2500 hands today which was awesome. I am playing 6 tables at a time with the new monitor and is working out good. I still have to adjust but I think it will be no time before I start just murdering the tables. Ended the month plus 760 at the tables with an added 200 in Rake back and another 73 coming in bonus that brings me to a little over a grand. Not bad but not great either. Not enough to live on. Well June begins in the morning and I am tired. I will see yall later.
