Book it!

FML I am so lazy and it has to end. I am going to set a target of 40K hands in June which I believe to be obtainable. I managed a wopping 20k this month in 60hrs therefore I need to work 120 hrs or rather 30hrs a week. If I want to stick to mainly M-F that 6 hour days which aint too shabby. Anyways 200NL has been bumpy thus far but I feel myself getting my legs and know I have what it takes to be no less then a 3PTBB100 winner. 1st 10k hand sample I am at 4 with EV adjusted to 6. Best part is there is room for improvement.

I too can stack fools with quads.

Tilt quit!!!

I had to quit my session today after I tilted myself. 1st I have been staying away from ante tables because I really dont understand whats good or bad about them and dont want to find out. Unfortunately I saw a juicy seat and took it and then this happens.

Is the river only a call? I was unsure and decided that this clown might actually play 88 or 4x like this. Pretty sick seeing that the board has to run off perfect perfect for this guy to get my stack and truth is he may have been supposed to only get 36 more when he c/r the river.

Beer and pretzels...

are delicious and I am consuming them right now. So much for no beer Sun-Thur. Handled biz last week but this week was Memorial day weekend and right now it is so fucking hot that I had to have a cold beer. Anyways life is grand and poker is so so. I feel like I am still not breaking out my a-game as well and as often as should be. I have a few ideas of how to fix that though. I definitely need to add some meditation to the mix and some intensive personal study time. I have played like 7-8k hands at 200NL thus far and think I am somewhere around +5BI but not 100% on that. My plan is to check every 10k hands unless something insane were to happen.

On the lame side of poker note I keep running head 1st into AA when I have QQ&KK luckily I have managed a suck out or two.

Easy game?

So my move up has been kinda rocky. I over adjusted a bit and made a few loose jams/4bets preflop which cost me. I had a lesson with my coach today and he hammered home some fundamentals and encouraged me as well.

The best thing I have done is manage my time better this week and actually logged some evening sessions, the games are so soft. Poker is easy

How would you like your stake sir?

I am stoked to report that someone near and dear has provided me with the tool necessary to start crushing 200NL again. I have dabbled a little already and feel quite comfortable as long as I am not playing turbo tables. The thing that seperates the best from the ahhhkkkk is hard work and discipline. These are two tools I have which i dont utilize enough. Therefore it is time to. Basically I am working out some kinks on getting back to playing 40k+ hands a month and putting in the time necessary to improve and continually grow as a player.

Rule #1 No alchol will be consumed Sun-Thur starting 5/18.

Rule #2 No less then three session during the hours of 9am-4pm

Rule #3 1 hour of good study every day M-F

Rule #4 No more blog/forum/internet browsing during the week, as it is such a time drain.

Rule #5 No less then 2 night time session a week.

More to come obviously but you get the idea and tbh probably could care less. I feel like there is a direct correlation between my excercise habbits and my succes at the table. That being the case I plan on getting very strict about my diet again. Plus I got the old 10 yr highschool reunion in 2 months.

Here is a fun welcome back to 200NL hand for you.

Thank you!!!

Seriously I want to thank every poker player whom I have scooped a pot off of. Thank you for making my last two years of living the best ever. If it weren't for you I would be working some BS job which I probably wouldn't enjoy much.

As for poker I grinded out another 1.2k hands today running at boring old 20/16. Its insane how much easier decision making is on later streets when you stop and look left and think about your preflop opens in depth. Another thing I have got back in the habbit of doing is NOT auto folding. By not doing so I in a sense slow the game down for myself and play at my pace. It might all be a mental placebo, but if it works why not? One other thing I now do before my 1st morning session ( I recommend this to all) is I read pages 51-53 of The Poker Mindset.

Now since this is a poker blog I will post a fun hand.

Solid winning poker is...

boring! Seriously, I played super solid 19/15/3.5 the last few days and it has been so boring. Obviously in a good way. Just grinding out 60min sessions and averaging about 350 hands a sitting. Plan to keep plugging away and work on improving my A-game as I go. Also hope to catch a rush of cards and stack every fuq tard at AP. I want to roll heads this month and scoop like 50-75BI that would own.

Hello May

Go fuck yourself! I decided to start May off great by dropping 4BI which is nothing but the tilting thing is I feel like a good chunk of them should have been avoided. Crazy thing is I havent had a drink in two days and feel this may be the cause of my irritability at the tables which has lead to some spew plays. Oh and basically running like dirt.

On to good news. April was solid results wise just not productivity wise. For may I plan to nail 4 60min sessions a day M-F which should produce a good amount of volume hands wise. I am also going to revert back to limiting my # of tables to 4 max and not allow myself to check results. I play so bad when I check results.

God I hate myself so much when i play like a donkey. I seriously should have booked a win today. Sick!
