Excuse me...

...your life is waiting is an amazing book. I am half way throuhg my 2nd read of it and I am remebering why I was stoked about it the 1st I read the book. One thing it talks about is just creating good feelings and using that feeling as a way to magnetize what you want. I decided to put it to the ultimate test tonight and I sat in fron tof my comp creating feel good energy for 5 minutes before starting my session. I shit you now the 1st hand of my session was this one. I managed to own myself by not cbetting enough and making a terrible turn decision based solely on HUD but you get the idea I believe. I proceeded to get big pockets preflop and basically catch a sweet run of cards. I managed to also play poorly postflop which isnt fun.

Today was a less then exciting day poker wise and I really felt the old me creeping back in. The old blame my luck rely on cards and basically bot my way through my session. I need to solve this problem. My break even run is my fault and I am the only one who can solve it. The truth is I played a solid session early and was feeling great about poker. Then when I made my way back to the tables in the evening the fish were everywhere and they werent folding/I wasnt connecting which can lead me to become frustrated. When the fish are out the game really does rely on cards or maybe I need to pull my head out of my rear and start raping fools. Anyways one thing I wont allow to happen is negativity, at least not for long stretches. I will be back at it tomorrow.

HAND OF THE DAY-Feedback wanted

The preflop raiser is a fish, villain is 24/12/4 (1.4K)

Standard preflop.

$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG ($109.00)
UTG+1 ($200.65)
CO ($409.95)
Hero (BTN) ($235.55)
SB ($380.00)
BB ($310.00)

Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is BTN

UTG raises to $4, UTG+1 calls $4, 1 fold, Hero calls $4, 1 fold, BB calls $2

Flop: ($17, 4 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $8.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $8.50, BB calls $8.50

I could raise the flop but I think flatting is prefered.

Turn: ($42.50, 3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $28, BB raises to $96, UTG folds, Hero calls $68

I was real fucking confused when villain c/r as it seems like anything strong would have c/r the flop.

River: ($234.50, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $127.05, BB folds

The river doesnt truly change all that much unless he held AQ or A9 but I was calling and I couldnt believe it when he c/f.

Final Pot: $361.55

Hero wins $358.05 ( won +$122.50 )
BB lost -$108.50
UTG lost -$12.50
UTG+1 lost -$4.00

This hand depends hugely on how the BB plays and views you. Given the action it's hard for us to think we're ahead on the turn so I'd be tempted to fold it. But like I said, it depends on the villian.
