Losing days are a ok

I grinded two laborsome sessions today and in retrospect I may have not been in the right frame. I wasnt doing anything super spewy preflop, besides maybe opening a little too light. I couldnt hit a flop or get a fold which leads to a slow bleed obviously. The thing is I need to take notice of my image and tighten up when nothing is working rather then forcing it in a sense.

The best thing to take away from my session is I feel nothing as far as emotions go,  to be honest why should I? Like I have and will say time and again correct decisions are all that matters in poker because the results are up to the random number generator. For the most part I fell like I played well today but dropping 5BI's without any big AI preflop coolers makes me wonder if I am leaking again. Have to stay focused and keep plugging away. One thing I noticed is weekend games are super juicy but catching cards becomes very necessary.

We flop a monster kinda and I decide to lead looking to get it in. I honestly hate my play in this hand and would like to know how others proceed? Is c/r better? Should we fold preflop all together? maybe c/c flop c/c turn c/f river?

4 straight...

winning sessions. Yes indeed that is right 4 in a row. My last session should have been epic but I had a good old AP beat(<--Click if you want to see a cooler) dealt my way. I feel like my game has already evolved after my lesson with Eric. I am steadily applying the things he instructed me on and it seems to be working out so far. A little run good helps too. Unfortunately my son gave me a nasty cold and I feel like crap physically. Life is good. I am going to add one more daily thing to my blog. My daily thanks.

Hand of the day-Feedback appreciated!

Villain was on the nitty side as far as raising preflop thus I flat AJ planning to play some good old poker.

UTG+1 ($430.55)
CO ($247.00)
Hero (BTN) ($449.13)
SB ($398.00)
BB ($385.50)

Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is BTN

2 folds, CO raises to $6, Hero calls $6, 2 folds

Flop: ($15, 2 players)
CO bets $10, Hero raises to $36, CO calls $26

I think I can credibly rep a wide range of value hands on this flop plus 2 overs and the runner runner nut flush draw dont hurt.

Turn: ($87, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $54, CO calls $54

This looks like a sweet card to continue my bluff on and villain should be real scared at this point. If I fire the turn I have to shove the river though as his range is mainly JJ+ here.

River: ($195, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $353.13, CO folds

I follow the plan and it pays off.

Final Pot: $548.13

Hero wins $544.63 ( won +$95.50 )
CO lost -$96.00

DAILY THANKS
I am thankful for my sweet loving son who wakes me up every morning with his beautiful smile.

Welcome

This is the home of my new positive thinking/poker blog. I will hit you with a daily quote of positivity as well as an update on my progress as I work my way through 200NL to 400NL and beyond. Today I had my 1st lesson with D2K which went superb. Though most of what Eric spoke to me about wasnt new it felt good to discuss poker with a winning player en route to improving my game.

Until recently I have been a pretty upbeat happy go lucky guy and as of late something has been missing. Thus along with poker I will be blogging about ways to improve our all around energy in hopes to make you and me and the world around us a better place. The main focus will be both positive thinking and poker, obviously. I will end this blog and every one from now on with a quote and a hand.

"The difference between can and cannot are only three letters. Three letters that determine your life's direction." Retrieve from here

I decided that rather then take a passive line preflop I was going to 3bet for value knowing villain would call with worse yet fold if he jammed. Having a plan in poker is key.
